Carragher Names The “Arsenal Duo” That Klopp Would Love To Have At Liverpool

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal pair Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka would fit perfectly into the Reds’ front line.

The two forwards will be facing the Reds this weekend when the Gunners come to Anfield, but Carragher says that manager Jurgen Klopp is undoubtedly a big fan of both players:

“Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli bring the lightning pace and penetration that Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane introduced to Klopp’s 4-3-3 system five years ago. Not so long ago, Klopp must have investigated if it was possible to lure the Arsenal duo to Merseyside. Suffice to say that ship has well and truly sailed.”

As a matter of fact, we know Klopp is a huge admirer of Martinelli. He labelled him the “talent of the century” following a League Cup tie, where the Brazilian made a name for himself, a few years ago.

In regards to Saka, Liverpool were linked with the England star last year, along with Manchester City, when the Gunners were locked in talks with the player over a new contract.

However, with the 21-year-old now set to put pen to paper on an extension, there is now no chance that he will leave the Emirates in the foreseeable future.
