Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko are both scheduled to recover from calf ailments during the international break.

Following comments from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, there was some fear that the duo would not be available to face Tottenham on October 1st, but it is thought the two players are hopeful of being in contention for the North London derby.

However, Emile Smith Rowe’s availability for the Saturday encounter is uncertain. The attacking midfielder is dealing with a groin issue that may not go away anytime soon.

Cedric Soares has been left out of the team for the previous two games against FC Zurich and Brentford, with the Portuguese international suffering from a knock.

Due to a muscle ailment, Reiss Nelson has yet to return to full training, while Mohamed Elneny is expected to remain out until the new year with a ruptured hamstring.
According to Goal’s Gunners writer Charles Watts, Arsenal duo Cedric Soares and Reiss Nelson might be ready to return after the international break.

Cedric has been out with an injury since the 2-1 Europa League win over FC Zurich earlier this month, but he might be back on the bench against Spurs.

Nelson has been absent for an even longer period of time. The winger was a substitute in the season opener against Crystal Palace, but he has been out with a muscle ailment since.

If all four players return to training next week, Emile Smith Rowe (groin) and Mohamed Elneny (hamstring) will be the only two players still on the treatment table (barring any more injuries on international service).
