BBC reveal confirmed pundits for 2022 World Cup with Didier Drogba among Qatar panel

Didier Drogba will be a part of the BBC’s coverage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter, as preparations for the event heat up.

There are only two more rounds of Premier League football to go until the games begin, with less than two weeks until domestic activity is suspended for the competition. The final 26-man squad for Gareth Southgate is anticipated to be unveiled on November 10th.

The BBC, on the other hand, has revealed its own’squad,’ with a star-studded bunch of presenters and experts for the event, including former Chelsea striker Drogba.

In coverage of non-England matches, the Ivorian will be joined by Vincent Kompany, Jurgen Klinsmann, Gilberto Silva, Pablo Zabaleta, Laura Georges, and Mark Schwarzer, while Rio Ferdinand, Alan Shearer, Micah Richards, Alex Scott, Jermaine Jenas, Ashley Williams, Ian Rush, Danny Gabbidon, Dion Dublin, Chris Sutton, and Izzy Christensen will be present.

The competition’s presenters are as dazzling, with Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman, and Kelly Cates all lining up on the TV.
Drogba tweeted in response to the revelation, “With the Men’s 2022 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, I’m happy to disclose that I’ll be part of the BBC’s coverage.”

During his trophy-laden career, the ex-Blues striker scored 18 World Cup qualification goals and two at World Cup finals.
