Arsenal are the latest team to enter the race for Las Palmas midfielder Alberto Moleiro, according to reports in the Italian media.
The 19-year-old has been compared to Barcelona‘s Pedri after both players came through the same youth system in Gran Canaria.
It is believed that Moleiro can be signed for €30m (£26m) due to a release clause but there are claims that this may double to €60m (£52m) if Las Palmas get promoted.
They currently sit third in La Liga 2, three points off the top of the table, so there is a good chance currently that they will move back up into the Spanish top flight.
With that being the case, there is greater urgency to secure Moleiro’s signature sooner rather than later. It means the Gunners will face fierce competition for the teenager’s signature, with Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid also keen on the Spanish Under 21 international.
