Arsenal Cruised Past Leicester City As They Moved Back To Fourth on The Table.

The Gunners has been very consistent in the recent time by winning matches and grabbing important points against tough opposition such as Wolves both home and away, and the most recent is their outstanding performance against Leicester City at the Emirate Stadium.

Leicester City were not with some of their key players that could cause Arsenal so many problems on the field of play, the likes of Jamie Vardy, Wesley Fofana contacting covid, Jonny Evans with hamstring injury, Timothy Castagne with thigh issue, Ryan Bertrand also with knee injury and Wilfred Ndidi that later came in at some point in the second half of the match.

We heard Arsenal in form goal keeper Aaron Ramsdale talking about the Vardy as the EPL striker he fears the most as he has scored against him almost every time they faced each other and Vardy always have good time playing against Arsenal with his goal return.

The two team started very bright but it was Arsenal that found the back of the net first through Thomas Partey header as Gabriel Martinelli sent his coner kick through for the Ghanaian to send it in the opposition’s net on the 11th minute exactly.

The Gunners took control of the midfield for a while after the first goal which also made the Ghana international to hit the wood as Arsenal mount more pressure on their opponent.

Leicester City came back trying really hard by bossing it for some time in the first half as they look towards leveling the game before the break but they could not just find a way from their effort.

Arsenal continue the good form as they begin the second half and it was not very long when there was a penalty call due to hand ball from Caglar Soyuncu, the Turkish international stopped Thomas Partey header with his hand when he headed the ball looking to score his second goal in the game.

The referee awarded a penalty that was taken and converted by Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal went up 2-0 at this point and their confidence improved the more as they controlled the game further.

City boss Brenda quickly made 2 changes by bringing on a key player that would start this type of game ordinarily, Wilfred Ndidi for Nampalys Mendy and James Justin for Ricardo Pereira on the 61 minute in order to get something back from the game already looking bad.

The City was almost getting one back as James Maddison tried to perform his usual magic by sending in crosses multiple times but one was met and headed to goal but Aaron Ramsdale was just too good to deny them a goal that was a proper scoring chance.

Arsenal made their changes as well by bringing Smith Rowe for Gabriel Martinelli on the 78 minute, Nicolas Pepe for Bukayo Saka on the 85th Minute and Eddie Nketiah for Alexandre Lacazette on the 88 Minute.

Arsenal won the match and returned back to the fourth on the EPL table as they bid towards making Europe competition next season.
