Arsenal Beat Manchester United 3-1 And Moved To Fourth On The Table

Arsenal continued from where they stopped winning their last match at Stanford Bridge against Chelsea 2-4, as they blast through Manchester United again this time around winning conveniently by 3-1 at the Emirate Stadium in front of their fans.

The game started with the expectation of high intensity and just in the third minute, it was one of the unexpected player who got the ball and smashed it into the back of the net of Manchester United.

It was not long ago when some Arsenal fans complained about Nuno Tavares committing errors that lead to a goal when they played against Crystal Palace and eventually lost 3-0, he was substituted immediately after they returned from the second half and people thought we may not see him play sooner.

However, the trust Mikel Arteta put in him paid off when he scored in the third minute.

There were lots of chances coming from the two sides and it was Eddie Nketia that scored but was ruled offside by the VAR and eventually awarded a penalty against the Red Devils as Bukayo Saka was brought down in the box before Eddie put the ball at the back of the net.

Buakayo Saka stepped forward to take the penalty kick with strong confidence and he scored just as he did against Chelsea in their last match. The game went 2-0 to Arsenal in the thirty-second minute.

Manchester United was already disappointed going 2-0 down and they start to fight badly in order to come back into the game and their hustling paid off as Nemanja Matic provided Cristiano Ronaldo with the assist in the 34th minute and it was 2-1.

The Red Devils did not relent at all and they were trying their best to level up before the break but Arsenal was able to hold unto the lead.

United kept on pressing hard when they came back from the break into the and they were awarded a penalty in the 57th minute and it was Bruno Fernandes that took the kick and was unable to convert the kick by hitting the wood which was the second time in the same game.

Arsenal had to come out into attack again as they tried to neutralize Manchester United pressure, the game became well balanced as the two teams were looking to get something out of the game.

But Arsenal seems to want it more, Arteta made changes in the 64th minute when Gabriel Martinelli came in for Emile Smith-Rowe, it was not very long when the Egyptian, Mohamed Elneny provided Granit Xhaka with an assist and he hit the ball hard to beat David De Gea exactly in the 70th minute to go 3-1.

There was another change for Arsenal on the 74th minute as Rob Holding came in for Bukayo Saka that seems to be injured and was unable to continue the game. This change was a good one as it was with the intention to switch back to a proper defensive game in order to neutralize Lingard and Rashford that came in to help united attack.

The Arsenal fans were very happy to see the very last change made by their Coach, Mikel Arteta when he brought in Tomiyasu that has been out injured for a couple of months now.

Arsenal will now be looking to continue  with this form to the end of season so that they can achieve top four for the Champions League qualification. It is not going to be a completely easy ride for the Gunner because there are still tough matches to play.
