The reporter, who has a sketchy track record when it comes to transfer rumours outside of the lower leagues, claims that the Gunners are seriously considering a move for the 18-year-old.

The term is thrown around a lot but Arda is a generational talent in terms of ability. Whoever gets him is getting one of the best players of the next 10 years

Don’t believe we will sign him, but if we do he should be loaned straight back to Fenerbache to further his development. Wouldn’t get the necessary game time at Arsenal.

Guler is a talented young player
The midfielder certainly made a big impression last season, having scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 appearances for Fenerbahce.
Guler has even been nicknamed the “Turkish Messi” because of his great ball control and his ability in possession, but it’s probably wise not to get over-excited by the player’s abilities.
It is one thing doing it in the Turkish Lig, and it is quite another doing it in the Premier League and the Champions League.
There are questions about where Guler would fit at Arsenal
The Turkish international is ostensibly a no.10 and, although he can also be deployed on the right wing, many believe his future lies in the centre of the pitch.
With Martin Odegaard firmly established as first choice, and Kai Havertz also arriving from Chelsea, it’s hard to see there being any room for Guler. Supporters would probably be wise to wait until a more reliable source confirms the Gunners’ interest in the player.
