Arsenal 5-0 Nottingham Forest: Gunner’s class was too much for Forest to deal with and they returned to the top of the Premier League

With a 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest this afternoon, Arsenal has reclaimed first place in the Premier League.

The Gunners took the lead almost immediately when Saka’s cross was headed in by Gabriel Martinelli inside the first five minutes of play.

We kept putting pressure on our opponents after the goal, but we were hampered by the injury to Saka, who was replaced by Reiss Nelson.

Nelson scored his first Premier League goal since July 2020, grabbing onto the rebound after his initial effort was stopped, and he was like a fox in the box only minutes later to finish off a great team play to make it 3-0.

Thomas then scored the game’s fourth goal, curling a superb effort into the top right corner two minutes later. Gabriel Jesus should have been up next, but he fluffed his lines twice when through on goal, failing to beat Dean Henderson with a low attempt before mucking up his feet again.

However, our captain Martin Odegaard used his fast feet to find enough space in the box to shoot his attempt into the net, bringing the game to 5-0.

This was precisely the performance we needed after failing to win twice in a row, but all eyes will now be on Saka in the hope that he is available for our huge game against Chelsea next weekend.
