‘An Amazing Price’ ‘He’s Not Worth £40M’ Fans Discuss Chelsea’s Star’s Valuation After Romano Confirms How Much Club Will Hold Out For

Chelsea will hold out for around €80m (£69.5m) to sell Mason Mount this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

A number of different figures have been mentioned for the 24-year-old’s asking price but, speaking on the CBS House of Champions podcast, Romano said that the Blues will demand a sizeable sum from interested clubs. While most fans on Twitter would be delighted if the Blues received that amount for Mount, some don’t believe that the player will ultimately be sold for that much:

A lot will depend on Mount and whether he is open to going to different clubs. If he is dead set on joining one team, it will be difficult to trigger a bidding war.

Reliable sources have suggested that the England international is currently favouring a move to Manchester United, but a switch to Liverpool or Arsenal hasn’t been completely ruled out. With that being the case, it could help Chelsea get the sort of money they are hoping for.
