Ajax Coach Erik Ten Hag Has Reportedly Agreed to Join Manchester United On a Four-Year Deal.

Manchester United has been having issues in getting a very good head coach for some time now but the news circulating is that an agreement has been reached with Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag to become the next manager in Old Trafford.

The previous managers were not performing to the expectation and they were sacked at some point, the most recent was their legend Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer.

Manchester United will feel like they made a wrong call by bringing an interim coach because Ole was doing far better than the current coach.

Ten Hag has been seen as one of the leading contenders to take over in the summer from Ralf Rangnick, who has been in charge on an interim basis after Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer was sacked in November.
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino was also among the contenders to take over at Old Trafford but is now out of the running because he has a good job already.
There are reports that a verbal agreement has now been reached and he will join from Ajax on a contract for up to four years, after holding positive talks with the Red Devils’ hierarchy.

United agents achieved a breakthrough in discussions with Ten Hag on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mirror, and the Dutchman has agreed in principle to sign a four-year deal to take command of the club in the summer.

According to the article, during an interview with United executives, Ten Hag outlined a long-term strategy to them, expressing his desire to change the team’s style of play and have complete control over the transfer market.

According to a recent rumor, the Red Devils might announce the 52-year-signing old’s as soon as next week, but they’d have to trigger his £1.7 million release clause in his Ajax contract first.

And there are rumors that some former Manchester United players will be among his backroom staff

Ten Hag has been Ajax head coach since 2017 and could bow out with a league and cup double.
Ajax is currently top of the Eredivisie, four points clear of second-placed PSV Eindhoven with five games left to play.
Ajax and PSV also meet in the Dutch Cup final on April 17 and it is reported that there will not be a written agreement or announcement about Ten Hag’s exit until after the match.
Ten Hag’s coaching staff will also be finalized in due course.
Ten Hag has won the Dutch title in 2019 and 2021 with Ajax and also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019, dramatically losing to Tottenham.
Ten Hag looks unlikely to experience the Champions League in his first season with United as they are currently six points behind fourth-placed Spurs with seven games of the season remaining.
