According to the Lagos State Police Command, the official autopsy report of Mohbad, whose death sparked outrage, has yet to be received.

It’s been two months after the late Mohbad’s body was discovered for an autopsy on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

The death of the 27-year-old singer was probed by a coroner, as required by the Lagos state government.

As the autopsy investigation continues, unanswered concerns underline the need for answers around the brilliant singer’s death.

The police underline that, despite speculations, they are dedicated to relying solely on factual information. The state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, offered an update on the autopsy.

According to Hundeyin:

“The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been carrying rumours that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready; it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially—that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumours; we work with facts.”

According to Hundeyin, only the singer’s family counsel may request that the pathologists provide the autopsy results. If not, the police will get it on their own when it is ready.

This comes after Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, issued a warning to anybody who attempted to take his son’s bones for burial without his permission.
