According to reports, Mr. Ibu had another operation after having trouble speaking
According to reports, the failing Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, is having health problems to the point that he finds it difficult to talk.
This is a month or so after he had his leg amputated in a last-ditch effort to preserve his life.
Since then, Vanguard said, Mr. Ibu has had another operation in which a section of the same leg that was severed last month was removed.
Concerns are growing because of Mr. Ibu’s failing health as well as the worsening state of Amaechi Muonagor, another seasoned actor.
Amaechi Muonagor has spent more than two months in the hospital at the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State.
In a phone interview with the newspaper, Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), gave an update on the condition of these unwell actors.
“We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,” he said.
