It should be pointed out that Bennacer is also in talks with Milan over a contract extension. His current deal expires in 2024 so it’s probably wise to be cautious about these reports.
The player’s agent may well be using the Reds’ interest in order to get a better deal for his client. However, if Bennacer is keen on a switch to Anfield, and the Merseyside club can agree a deal with Milan, he could be an excellent addition to the squad.
