£52M Serie A Star ‘Ready To Say Yes’ To United Transfer After £116K A Week Contract Is Tabled

Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae is “ready to say yes” to completing a move to Manchester United, according to Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo.

The journalist claims that the South Korean international has been offered a €7m a season contract, which works out at around £116,000 a week after tax:

United don’t need to negotiate with Napoli over signing Kim due to a release clause in the centre-back’s contract. He can be snapped up for €60m (£52m) if they make the offer in a two-week window between July 1st and July 15th.

Kim looks set to complete a transfer to United

Napoli seem resigned to losing the 26-year-old, with it being claimed that they have already lined up Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini as his replacement.

It is believed that the Red Devils have had two meetings with Kim’s agents in recent weeks where an agreement over personal terms has been hashed out.

Other Premier League teams, including Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have been mentioned as potential suitors for Kim, but United have always been classed as favourites to secure his services.

Manager Erik ten Hag is said to be keen to recruit a new centre-half, with there being doubts over the future of captain Harry Maguire, who may look to leave Old Trafford this summer in the search for first-team football.

Kim has had a standout campaign

The South Korean defender has had an outstanding season in Serie A, playing a crucial role in helping Napoli win their first league title in over thirty years.
