Arsenal vs Liverpool Match Preview And Possible Line Up

Arsenal will be at the Emirate stadium playing in front of their fans again today Wednesday by 20:15 GMT, the local time in London. That makes it a 21:15 CET kick-off for those in Spain, while fans in the United States will find the game starting at 16:15 ET or 13:15 PT on Wednesday afternoon.

The two teams will definitely be looking at getting something from the game, both teams are very much in form right away and if they can both continue with their form, then we should expect a tough match from the two sides.

Arsenal are currently on a winning streak as they have won their last five matches and the Gunners are in their most confident mood recently ahead of the visit of Liverpool to the Emirates on Wednesday.

We have seen Arsenal not really doing well against the big boys in the English competitions this season losing to the Liverpool in the league, Carabao Cup semi-finals in January, they lost to Manchester City home and away in the league, lost to Chelsea and Manchester United as well.

But they seem to have improved in the manner in which they lose those games such as their recent two games against the Liverpool side where they played 0-0 and 0-2.

So Arsenal will be playing towards making a point this time since they have not won against Liverpool since last two years and it was only twice, a league game and Community shield game in which they won 2-1 in both encounter.

On the other hand, Liverpool will be looking to end Arsenal’s five-game winning streak when they travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening so that they can as well close the gap between them and Manchester City after the blues dropped 2 point against Crystal Palace few days back.

Liverpool will go into match in a rich vein of form themselves, having not lost in the Premier League since November last year. However, they could be without Mohamed Salah, who limped off in their most recent victory over Brighton.

Likely Team Selection Based on Who is Available

Arsenal is not having any serious injury concern except for the Japan international, Takehiro Tomiyasu that has to be managed with ease.

Arsenal’s predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Aaron Ramsdale; Cedric Soares, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Kieran Tierney; Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe; Alexandre Lacazette.

Mohamed Salah went off injured during Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Brighton on Saturday, so may be left out of the starting line-up.

In his place would come Diogo Jota, who scored a brace against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup. He is ready to hit form again following an injury.

Thiago Alcantara was rested against Brighton, so is likely to feature in the midfield alongside Fabinho and captain Jordan Henderson.

Liverpool’s predicted line-up (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson; Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz.
