Chelsea shot-stopper Edouard Mendy could be set to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
While Chelsea are aiming to offload a number of players in the summer, they do not appear desperate to sell Mendy – they would only be willing to accept a ‘good’ offer on the cat-like ‘keeper.
In Romano’s tweet, he wrote: “Edouard Mendy could leave Chelsea at the end of the season in case of good proposal for both sides, still waiting on new coach final decision on GK situation. Mendy signed last week with Lian Sports agency; Fali Ramadani will be the new agent taking care of his future.”
Mendy was purchased by Chelsea in September of 2020, after a series of underwhelming performances by now-second choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
After a strong start to life at the Blues, Mandy has begun to make more and more mistakes as his time at the club has progressed. Additionally, he has also suffered from numerous injury problems.
The current season has been a poor one by Mendy’s standards. He has made just nine appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea in 2022/23, letting in 12 goals and keeping a solitary clean sheet.
