Many music lovers have been thrown into mourning, following the death of popular South African Amapiano artist, Costa Titch who passed away after collapsing on stage.

This publication learnt that the 27-year-old reportedly had a seizure and collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra music concert at Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

1. Costa entered the entertainment industry as a dancer, but over time he transformed and became a rapper/singer.

2. He recently got signed to Akon’s music label.

3. The rapper was born and raised in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa, and his real name is Costa Tsobanoglou.

4. He rose to prominence with his hit single “Nkalakatha” in 2019.

5. Costa’s outstanding rap style has also earned him a recent performance with Cassper Nyovest.

6. The singer recently made a grand performance at the DSTV Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards alongside DJ Cleo, Phantom Steeze, and the Eskhaleni team, capping off the event in grand style.

7. Costa Titch has since released more than 10 songs and various EPs.

8. He formed a crew with Tumi Tladi and Phantom Steeze to perform dance sessions (New Age Steez dance crew).

9. The dance crew competed in the Hip Hop International Dance Competition and came in 14th place.

10. Costa Titch moved to Johannesburg in 2014 after the completion of his tertiary education to pursue a career in entertainment.
